Written in 1954 by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy. It was written for the film "Maxim Perepelitsa" and the song gained fame and prominence since then being played in many former Soviet countries during Victory Day and other military holidays. This version was performed in 1954.

«В путь» («Вперед», «В пути», «Поехали») — песня, написанная в 1954 году советским композитором Василием Соловьёвым-Седым и поэтом Михаилом Дудиным. Первоначально он был написан для фильма «Максим Перепелица» с Леонидом Быковым в главной роли. Сам фильм был выпущен в 1955 году, и с тех пор песня приобрела известность и популярность независимо от него. По сей день она все еще используется как так называемая тренировочная песня (что-то вроде каденса в армии США). В 1959 году за эту песню Василий Соловьев-Седой получил Ленинскую премию.

«В путь» исполняется в День Победы, а также в другие военные праздники в России, Белоруссии и других бывших советских республиках. Эта песня также была переведена на немецкий (Октоберклуб), китайский и корейский (КНДР) версии. Немецкий перевод песни стал фирменным маршем Nationale Volksarmee "Unterwegs".
