I don't think so. We should never have a choice whether the unborn should live or not.

Ending a life for the convenience of another is clearly an evil thing.

"Abortion exists with the consent of the church in America" NAILED IT!

I must apologize for criticizing this man. He does a very good job on this and it's nice to see he is not pro choice.

He's right the church must address the abortion issue. Many do not and skate over "Controversial" issues for fear of retribution or losing members. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. It was totally illogical to think the Jews could defy pharaoh or survive 40 years in a desert, or that an inexperienced Continental Army could defeat the mighty British Empire. One plus God is ALWAYS a majority.

I think the question is better phrased like this: "Can a mature Christian be pro- Any Sin?"
.
People are fallen sinners, and we certainly have no shortage of failings. Yes, Abortion is a sin. So is hatred, gossip, lust, unjustified divorce, using God's name in vain, self-centeredness, thoughtless speech, lying, stealing, and many MANY other things.
.
The problem is we all have a fallen, sinful nature, and while we may point our finger and say, "A person can't be a Christian and be in favor of doing X, " the truth is we all sin every single day, and we all tend to excuse or gloss over the sins with which we struggle and point out the failings in other people. A good place to start is self-examination: What are the sins where I fail to repent?
.
Do I speed on the highway and put others at risk by driving carelessly?
.
Do I indulge in porn and drive wedges into my marriage?
.
Do I pass on gossip and make cruel statements behind the backs of other people?
.
Do I spend money on non-essentials and having little or nothing left for advancing the kingdom of God generously?
.
Do I love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, soul and strength and also love my neighbor as myself?
.
In short, as the Bible says, "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
.
The way we as the church approach this is not by picking apart this sin or that sin as "worse" and saying you can't be a Christian and do X. Rather, we need to focus our efforts on following the Bible's clear instruction: "Be HOLY as your Father is HOLY." It should be clear that when a person is striving for God's holiness, such things as abortion, sexual depravity of all kinds, all types of abuse, foolishly wasting time, slander, gossip, jealous desire for material things, etc are all temptations from which we need to run away every day.
.
In the end, I say that any person who does not desire God's holiness in all way is the person who cannot claim to be a Christian. Yes, we will still fail, but by daily repentance and asking God for mercy we draw closer to the image of Christ.

If someone claims to be a long time Christian, and a doctor, and says that the unborn baby is not a life, I would immediately questioned whether he really was a Christian, and if he really was a doctor. Anybody can make claims about themselves that are not true.

Lord Lord, but did I not murder 1 0 0 0 0 defenseless unborn babies in your name?!?
Matthew 7:23 NKJV And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

And no, they're not fooled. Who is this guy?

The problem with the abortion debate is that we are talking at each other rather than to each other. Pro lifers agree that women should have rights to their bodies and pro choicers agree that murdering a human is wrong. What we disagree on is what is considered part of the body and what counts as a human? Our best hope is to provide evidence that a fetus is not part of the body and is, for all intents and purposes, a human life.

Its easy to say no, but as a Christian you need the Word of God in your life not to sin and be holy through Christ. Abortion is a sin, don't get me wrong, but lying to your wife/children, gossip on your work about other workers, having sex before marriage are also sins. My point is just live by the Word, the Holy Spirit and repent everyday your sins through Christ. A sin is a sin in Gods eyes. Im just sharing my thoughts and dont want to attack anyone. Be blessed and God loves you :D!

No (Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.) (John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.)

Do you know, in the description-box here in the UK I'm seeing a statement from our NHS 'explaining' what abortion is? They're in favour of it, of course. 🤨 Thanks for the vid!

I find it so strange we only talk about abortion and homosexuality. I see so many commandments being broken by Christians but we don't address it. Does it make us feel better because we are not committing abortion or gay? I see a strong need to preaching on Jesus's first 2 commandments (golden rule & love Lord with all your heart, mind & soul). If you can follow these 2 rules I doubt you will violate the original commandments because they all fall under those 2. Jesus simplified it for us and we still don'tget it. I haven't heard about the Golden Rule since I was a child and I see it's violation cause so much strife and death. What about thou shall not committ adultery? Divorce rate even among Christians is crazy. Preach on holding the family together. Preach on envy and selfishness. We focus on 2 issues to the detriment of the rest. Just never sits right in my spirit.

The fetus is not mom's
property, because a simple logic: if it is something my
property also its properties are mine? Think about. A fetus have two eyes, so does that mean the mom have three eyes or more (because his son's eyes are also her)? The son's DNA is also her? His body is also her? As his mouth? As his skeleton? Well, the only conclusion I had is: If in my house I have a little tree, and this little tree have fruits, then I can eat the fruit 'cause the fruits are mine as the tree are, I can say the to a fetus, can I?

The correct answer to this question is the Jordan Peterson one...

It depends on what you mean by Mature, and it depends on what you mean by Christian.

If by Christian you mean a person born of God, and if by mature you mean sanctified and wise, then the answer is no.

Wisdom tells you a baby is a child; morality tells you killing it is wrong.

If by Christian you mean a believer in God, and if by mature you mean of many years, and of some morality, those definitions leave the POSSIBILITY of an ignorant believer that is pro choice

The answer, even then, would be "very very rarely", which was similar to the answer given I guess (I am being nice).

But as far as someone giving thousands of abortions as a "mature believer", I think that is a bit of a stretch, and was a really bad example to use. The Holy Spirit is a pretty consistent helper, and will help the Christian know by his 10th, 20th, 50th murder, that it's time to stop. A good way to know if a Christian is mature, is by how often he is being hounded by the Spirit. If God is letting you get away with stuff, there is an immaturity by the believer, or a satanic freedom to sin, a lack of Christ and repentance. God disciplines his children.

Tl; dr - No, unless you really bend the definitions of the words Christian and Mature. The guy answered his question with softer definitions of words than the guy who asked him

a simple NO would be a great response to that.
