What does it look like to grow in maturity as a Christian? In this video, I cover the 5 stages of Christian maturity based on 5 Greek words found in the New Testament that describe the Christian growth process.

In the physical world, These stages of spiritual growth are described as different character traits of an infant, a child, a teenager, an adult son, and a mature man. We'll look at how many of these traits also apply to believers in their spiritual maturity stage. These are also the same stages of Christian growth that Jesus went through as a man when He was on this earth.

This is a great teaching on the stages of Christian maturity. "It is finished" had many significant meanings to me as a believer, and now I can add one more. God has blessed me for over 50 years and allowed me to walk in His commandments and teach His word to the faithful that He has called. I believed that I was a "huios", but after your revealing of the second son in the parable as a "teknon" because he had not claimed his inheritance, I understand what I have been missing in my own walk. Thank you so much for this teaching. This has been a real eye opener and has also helped me to fully understand the book of James. I was looking at trials and should have been looking at maturity. At 76 years of age I am still in the Teknon stage. God is still preparing me to receive my ministry. I am in seminary school and have learned so much in the last 5 years. But I have more to achieve. I just came from one trial and I am heading into a year of trials of a different nature. I hope to be fully refined when I come through the other side and ready for my ministry. Praise God for our trials and tribulations. Thanks again. God is so good.

Wow, I did not realize how much I have grown in past 6 years of being a Christian. I still have a little more learning to go, but I have gone through suffering twice already.. and I know the next will be even more painful, but I trust my Lord Jesus. Amen.
