I don’t think it actually causes “uneven current” whatever that means, if anything two or more pins in the charging port would likely short together and thus send a weird signal to the cpu

In case of a water resistant phone I'd always recommend the alcohol 90% or better 99%. As it will displace the water out of the parts it is stuck in, drying with hot air can leave residues that can still cause corrosion. Especially if the liquid was something like soda or coffee.

Okay, I’m going on a rant, my charger ALWAYS DOES THIS. It’s never been in water, and it never will be. It’s either broken or something stupid is going on. Don’t know how I’m gonna fix this but what can I really do lol

One time I spilled water everywhere and it got on my phone. I took the case off, dried it as best I could. When I plugged in it to test if it still was okay, I got that warning. I just left it in front of a fan for about 1-2 hours and it still works now :)

yoo I recommend silica gel packets, you know those things you get in the bottom of packaging? They are meant to dry out the air and water so, just lock your phone in a container with the packets for a few hours

Light taps to remove majority of water and a small strips of paper to get small drops.

Repeat using the strips until it's dry.
Works every time.

Wireless charge still works when charging pins damp. Dries out quicker too 🙃

For android the same is u can shake the phone gently 5-10 times and leave it for some time after drying the whole thing with a cloth u can dry with a hair dryer but attempt not to heat the phone too much and leave it for a while but if Ur port is dry and it does it again later u can delete usb cache

i had this happen, didn’t have either of those things on hand because i was out, but what worked for me was an hour or two in the sun to dry, and then i played some really high frequency sounds to get the water out. didn’t have much faith, but it worked so

no all you have to do is wait for at least like 10-15 mins this has happened to me twice and I just waited and my phone worked after

Don’t use a HairDry, I used it before and it managed to turn my screen all black eventually the phone cooled and the back disappeared but some smaller pixels are still burnt to this day. If your using HairDrier make sure it’s on the cooler settings.
