He neglected to mention he's staying in Nevada as there is no state income tax.

Tesla never left California They just moved their headquarters to Texas and then started a new engineering headquarters in California. Tesla has over 40, 000 workers there who never left.

My primary issue with returning to work, is it takes 1.5h to go less than 20 miles. Traffic is so bad going both ways. I waste away my life sitting in traffic doing nothing, when I can just open a laptop and start being productive immediately.

Graham has reached the status of uber rich where taxes and private security aren't an issue for him any more

As a construction worker currently working from home, I'm definitely more productive than on site working. I'm getting a ton of things done! The only downside is I'm not making any money. It's actually costing me money weirdly enough 🤔

As someone who has been living in downtown San Francisco since 2005 this city is the worse it has ever been. Even our giant mall downtown is closing! And most office buildings are vacant.

California had the largest net migration out of the state last year, followed by New York. Of course any state will have some people will move to the state, but when the negative balance between those moving to the state and those fleeing the state is largest in the country, you can hardly call it a comeback.

In one year(2021-2022) California lost almost half a million people, consider this, and it isn’t really a massive influx of people coming back to California.

You made it seem like you were moving back to California through clickbaiting. You’ve changed a lot the last couple of years. Your views reflect that.

Any company mandating RTO isn't doing it because of productivity, creativity, etc. They are doing it because there's a hidden financial incentive. Plain and simple.

I've been working remotely for the past 5yrs. Long before COVID, I have no desire to go back to an office, me and my team work well like this.

Work From Home changed my life as a disabled person and I am gainfully employed. My particular job is a lot safer, but I would be devastated if it changes.

Happy that my company is fully remote. I live in Japan and work for a company in Australia. Love working remotely.

I already spent 12 years too long in California. There is no way I would move me or any of my business back there.

I work at a huge bank. Their ‘brand’ is affiliated with people coming in the office. Every time I am forced to go in I am way less productive than when I’m at home and all our meetings are still over zoom. It’s pointless. They bought this mega building in NYC and are just trying to convince themselves they didn’t make a bad decision.

Graham touches on a point here that is mentioned in other articles about migration into California. Absolute number might show 125, 000 people moving into California in a year. However, when considering how many of them are people who previously lived in California and are moving back to California this clearly affects the idea of people moving to California. Perhaps the bigger question is, how many people who have never lived in California a day in their lives are moving in to California?

It's California's weather and topography that makes California so desirable. I've lived and traveled to most areas of the USA. They all suck compared to California compared to California's weather and don't have the awesome scenery of Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur...

I work in accounting and theyre doing these exact things making us come in 50% of the week now. Many of my coworkers are thinking of leaving after this implementation

I have worked remotely since 2017 (in Finland) and I came to the same conclusion that there are situations that you just can't handle remotely. However, working remotely for the majority of the time is the way to go and then meet as required. Forcing to go to the office for named days does no one any good. Great video once again Graham!
