Cheap guitar pedals vs expensive guitar pedals

A pedalboard full of expensive pedals is a fine thing. But can a also cheap pedals give you great sounds? Is there really such a big difference in tone and feel and does the price make such a big difference?
In this video, I'll be comparing two pedalboard setups to each other and will give you my unbiased impressions.

My name is Mikel and if there's one reason why I founded this channel, then it is because of my love for playing the guitar and everything that has to do with it.During my younger years I have studied Jazz and songwriting. I used to work in the musical branch for one of the biggest guitar manufacturers. During that time I had the chance to meet and play with a lot of people, such as Peter Green, Greg Koch and others. My main influences are Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher and Joe Bonamassa. Most of the time I do pedal demos - don't we all love pedals?!? But hey, I also create lessons. I like to keep things natural and passionate, therfore I only record when inspiration stings me. The way I record is analog, I rarely use any software based amps. I hope you enjoy your stay and you'll subscribe to my channel!

playing is very nice. i think the cheaper pedals sounded good also. but as you've said, more important is how the pedals feel.

So far my more expensive pedals, no offense like the origin effects. Sold. It didn’t go well with my amps. And the amps are good amps. I worked my way up from junk to great amps and they just didn’t do well together. I’m
fine with a $150-200 to even a ($250-300) which has become to much imo. I am a pedal addict and I will be selling a bunch off now. No more $400-$600 pedals that with tax etc. included. Ridiculous prices. If I spend $4-600 for a pedal it better knock my socks off.
