Gotta be honest, building a new house from scratch is gonna make MUCH better content than renovating that crappy mobile home. Can't wait to see what you build!

How to dispose of a house for nearly free. "Dear Fire chief, I have a house that needs to be pulled down. Would you like to set it on fire and use it for training?"

"To me, to you" was lost in the pond.😉👍 Gave me a "Chuckle" though.

Hi. Here in Wisconsin we now have septic inspections every 3 years. I got tired of digging the lid up so we installed a riser ring. Now the cover is above ground with a lock on it. No problems with freezing.

I want to thank you guys for thinking of the less fortunate. Taking the time to remove and save things that you don't have a use for is mildly heroic.🎉

I was so relieved when you guys said that you decided to demo instead. The demo+build will be great content and the house really, really didn't look worth saving so it seems like a great choice.

Having had skeptic systems for well over 30 years, its best to have risers with lids up to and level with the ground so you know where the access is and it has easy access. You can just sit a plastic one over the concrete lid but leave the concrete lid in place, just get one large enough so you can open the top and see the concrete lid below and lift it open if need be for easy cleaning and inspection. Saves a ton of time digging and trying to guess where it is. I have one over each of my three lids but mine is an aerobic system. You can even use the black plastic corrugated drain pipe cut to the correct height and put a concrete lid over that even with the ground as your riser.

As an initial owner of early 20th century carriage house, previously a stone farm equipment storage site, separate from the main house, you made the right decision to tear it down. Where I was lucky was that I only had to demo the innards on both floors. My dad on first inspection joked that the house would probably survive a nuclear blast, with the walls being two feet thick. Cograts and have fun rebuilding/remodeling/adding to your house to your specs & taste, I did.

if you not said already or done, i would absolutly rip that old deck of that foundation and start completly from scratch, that is an old trailerhome floor you have there and judging from the walls i would not consider putting an house on that

Watching Courtney operating machinery is the most fun one can have on a Sunday morning. Absolutely delightful!

❤ never missed the opportunity to burn down an old structure. With the blessing and involvement of the local volunteer fire department / training. That really helps at tax time.
I enjoy your content and watch each week. 👍🏻

Why the limit on trips to the dump? A daily limit or overall limit? Type of material they didn't like?

Nice to see Andy throw in a little chuckle brothers reference to confuse the American audience 😂😂

Lots of fun being had doing stuff not done before. Much envy from here.
A suggestion about holding up fabric would be propping a stick instead of drilling holes in membrane. A stick can stay or easily be pulled out of aggregate.

Exposing the septic tank lid would have been a good opportunity to get the tank sludge pumped out.
