How to install and use a Marine Nationale/MN Strap

In this video tutorial, we will be showing how to install and use the Marine Nationale strap. This strap is also known to many as the parachute/parashooter/Marine Nationale/MN Strap. Originally made famous by the french navy divers (Marine Nationale) in the 1960s, the Marine Nationale is an elastic style strap that is fully adjustable to fit all wrists and secure simply with a hook and metal slider.

Just to make it easier, hook it before you put it on and then adjust it. You're already gonna have a pretty good idea of where it needs to be, and you can just fine-tune it, but trying to adjust it and hook it is frustrating.
Again, just hook it and then adjust it.

It looks like a pain in the behind :) If I ever change straps it’s on my casual / fun watches and I use single-pass straps precisely to avoid messing with spring bars. That said, the original design did have its merits for its intended purpose.
