Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox. It asks one simple question – how will you die?

Project Zomboid is the ultimate in zombie survival. Alone or in MP: you loot, build, craft, fight, farm and fish in a struggle to survive. A hardcore RPG skillset, a vast map, massively customisable sandbox and a cute tutorial raccoon await the unwary. So how will you die? All it takes is a bite..

In the towns of Muldraugh and West Point, survivors must loot houses, build defences and do their utmost to delay their inevitable death day by day. No help is coming – their continued survival relies on their own cunning, luck and ability to evade a relentless horde.

Use tools and items to craft weapons, barricade and cook. You can even build zombie proof forts by chopping trees, sawing wood and scavenging supplies.
Deal with depression, boredom, hunger, thirst and illness while trying to survive.
Day turns to night. The electricity falters. Hordes migrate. Winter draws in. Nature gradually starts to take over.
Farming, fishing, carpentry, cooking, trapping, character customization, skills and perks that develop based on what you do in-game.
Proper zombies that don’t run. (Unless you tell them to in the sandbox menu).

I have trouble sleeping just on a normal day. I cannot imagine trying to sleep in a zombie apocalypse. There is no way my brain would let me.

I fixed that in my game. I took wakeful and restless sleeper. Now my guy has the quality of sleep and energy of someone in a zombie apocalypse

another unrealistic thing is that your character can somehow miss shots point blank range even if the zombie is literally chewing on the gun barrel

Don't forget the fact that you can also suddenly learn to build 5 star hotels after watching a bunch of measly tapes based off carpenting. 😂

I’d say it’s realistic considering how much damn exercise your getting in the apocalypse. Carrying like 40 pounds of gear running and fighting through zombies daily is something not many could do without collapsing the minute they find a bef

New mod idea. You can spawn with Sleep apnea, and you have to find a working CPAP to be able to sleep properly...

I got severe dspd for 5 years, and wacking hammer to build your own house irl is easier than fixing your sleep schedule even with meds.

That and learning to grow food is extremely easy

Real life is difficult and even if you do everything right your crops can still die

And that a person without medical training can perform complex operations on himself without messing up his body or killing himself in the process, most notably with gunshot wounds.
