Toyota 4Runner Key Fob Tips

In this Manhattan Beach Toyota episode we share a couple tips for your Toyota 4Runner key fob. These will only work with key fobs with keyless start / entry.

If you want to change your door lock settings its not as hard as youre making it. (truck should already be locked) HOLD both the lock/unlock buttons for five seconds and your truck will beep 4 times and voila settings have been changed, also you can revert to original setting by repeating the process. How about if you are sleeping inside and lock the doors and the key fab is inside the vehicle with you. Can an intruder open up the doors while sleeping?

That fob looks like it's from an earlier model. (Pre-2021, I think.) The one I got for my 2023 is like my 2018 Prius fob.

It is amazing to see how is right on top of that technological update stuff for the 4Runner!

Hi any help.. my 4runner is brand new... so i only changed setting of unlock from driver only to all. Then after that my lock and unlock button now did not work but it can the sensor on grab handle works fine. I can lock by pressing the sensor but not the key. What do you think is the issue? Thank you

If the fob is in the back of the 4runner (inside but in the back), will it still start the engine if it has a good battery?
