1:40 VGT isn't a semiconductor etf, it's an information technology etf that holds other kinds of companies other than semiconductor.

I'm a fan of pretty much anything from Vanguard due to low expense ratio. But I do also hold SPHD currently

Let's say I wanted to invest $5k into ETFs like these, would it be smarter to split that 5k fairly evenly into 5-10 well known ETFs or pick 1 or 2 specific etfs after doing some research? I know they're all generally safe so I guess there wouldnt be much at all of a difference between these 2 strategies but just looking for opinions. Been saving a lot more recently, I already have about 10k in dogecoin which I'll probably get out of soon but I want to start playing things safe. I dont like the stress of seeing my small 15k portfolio go up and down 10% or more when doge has its super volatile days/weeks

Most of these have performed really good in the past months. I watched some videos of the top ETF's to buy in 2017 and 2018, a lot of them went down. What are your (or other people's) thoughts on this. Will these stocks with high tech holdings keep growing, or will something similar to the last happen. I am curious because sometimes it feels like YouTubers only make videos about ETF's/stocks that are performing really well at that moment.
