Thanks guys! Another great podcast. Ravi Verma talked about this as well, advocating the concept of "Share the Pain".

Good question that a lot of companies are dealing with and mostly good answers. I have a problem with "share the pain". It may be the right short term response, but *eliminate* the pain should be the goal. Work, especially in an agile organization, should not be painful.

I struggle with timezones and language barriers the most. I couldnt imagine our company without our Latvian and Ukrainian coworkers but by the time it hits 8am CT they are ready to log off and eat dinner. Its hard to have someone on the west coast wake up for scrum meetings at 6am PST :( Co-locating isnt going to work right now as our team is split by Business analyst in the US and engineering in Europe! Im not sure I ever thought of starting to co-locate all the skills but our clients are in the US

After hearing your conversation, I couldn't figure out the answer what you said if scrum team working from different time zone. You didn't say anything about that. How would team manage..

Agile team members that are multiple timezones away from each other is an antipattern

Question: When to put the team in driver seat? If the team is inexperienced, newly formed, can we put them in driver seat from day 1?

The talk is a bit "yeah" let´s leave it on the team as we don´t have reciepes yet ?
But the team is expecting recipies and also i see the scrum master at the hand having a bunch of workable methods or recipies in his toolbox.
So the team can focus on what is their best thing, do the practical work and not get lost in organizational stuff.
