This is a great video that goes right into the essence of Heidegger. Most videos go right away and just discuss the Being and Time jargon of Dasein, etc. What is essential in understanding Heidegger is that he is an extremely historical and etymological thinker. He will make no sense whatsoever if you don't see him side by side with the history of philosophy, and as a thinker of the history of philosophy.

Check out German philosopher Heinrich Rombach, who was recommended by Heidegger himself to get into philosophy. Rombach is a highly original thinker, whose works are translated into Japanese and Corean, among other languages, but not into English. A single essay was published in 1966 in "Philosophy Today": "reflections on heidegger's lecture 'time and being'". It is the last chapter of his book "Die Gegenwart der Philosophie" (The presence of philosophy) of 1962, which Rombach published after attending in person Heidegger's lecture.

There is a similar thesis in Gilson's "The Unity of Philosophical Experience, " except that Gilson recognizes three now completed cycles of philosophy, the medieval experiment, the Cartesian experiment and the modern experiment.

My own distinction. The speed of light takes time. BEING takes no time BEING brings into time.

It would be interesting to have some concrete examples of the differences between these two episodes of philosophy. For example, how do myths in Platonism differ from myths in Heidegger-world?

You have convinced me that, while I was willing to dismiss Heidegger as a lot of nonsensical playing with words, not knowing much about it, I was correct. It is a pointless bunch of gibberish, of no interest.

Go back to Buddhists, Pythagoreans, Platonists and Christians: monastic reliquary cults primarily targeting orphans and refugees straying from caste (industry) identities. Vedic and Platonic caste taxonomies are nearly the same. We are missing the fundamental institutional components replaced in the late 19th C. by state-sponsored war (industry) colleges. It's so obvious, we miss it. There is no place for philosophy in the newly conceived 20th C. academy. The 20th C. academy is alchemy insofar as the teachings must be exclusive pedagogy and-or secreted research. Philosophy dies under such condition. Want to do philosophy? Build monasteries. Philosophy is not worth money.
