⤹Everything you want to know is here!⤵︎

Can you tell that I am slowly becoming more and more German? Food is such an important topic to me. I LOVE FOOD and everyone should love food. Since living in Germany, I have become so accustom to the German kitchen and going to America was very hard when it came to food. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the food that is served/cooked in the USA B...U....T I realized how many different foods would not be allowed in Germany or foods that Germans would not want to eat. Enjoy!!

Leave some nasty foods in the comment section.
p.s. Happy Valentines Day :D

I'm thinking like 1/2 of the sodas from the US would never go in Germany or any European country.

I‘m an exchange student in the US rn and I’m actually kind of shocked by what some people eat here, some foods are definitely delicious and great but some I never want to try and I don’t get how people can eat them..

I see that five people prefer to keep up their unhealthy habits without being called out for them.

Where do these strange ( as a European/Dutch) food habits come from?
And most interesting, why does it look like US people don't care about the quality
of their food? Only country that wants eggs to be washed, I miss the logic behind that.

Chicken with waffles? I eat waffles only with confectioner's sugar. - - - A few years ago I was on vacation (USA) with my friend. We went to the cinema and bought popcorn. We just went to our seats and began to eat. Then we stopped eating. It was with butter and salt. SALT! We were very surprised. Thought, in every cinema it would be the custom that you get sweet popcorn . Oh no. Next time we should better say: Sweet popcorn, please. LoL

Hershey's milk chocolate! I went to the USA 2 years ago and still have this chocolate, 'cause nobody in germany (including me) would wanna eat it. XD

I feel like the pig feet would be accepted especially with older people. My parents grew up eating all the parts of the animal. My dad really likes "Schwarzsauer" which Wikipedia describes as "Schwarzsauer is a German blood soup with various spices cooked in vinegar-water and a sort of black pudding made with vinegar. It is a traditional dish in parts of northern Germany and formerly also in East Prussia. It's similar to the Spartan black soup". There would also be the cheap cuts of the pig in there like snout, feet and tail and it was usually made on the day they were slaughtering. So even the blood didn't go to waste. So I don't think especially older people would mind the feet too much. The canned cheese is something I really can't see catch on here though :D

There was actually a popcorn machine in a mall in hamburg 7 or 8 years ago, which made popcorn for 50 cent. You had to put in the coin, press the button, hold the bag for the popcorn and wait freaking 5 minutes (the queue was always so long). When it was finished you could poor liquid butter on your popcorn and enjoy it and laugh about the others because they had to wait . Hach... crazy childhood memories.

I just found out that the name of the thing is, ,popcornmaschine pc 727''. You can look it up to understand what i am talking about. 😂
