Today we're revisiting the GTX 1050 Ti. Once a popular entry level GPU, this 4GB graphics card is only getting cheaper and cheaper, especially as prices return to normal. I didn't expect much from this thing in 2022, but I have to say the gaming results were still quite surprising...

i remember wanting to upgrade to a 1050 ti so badly when i had a 750 ti back in the day. was such a good card back then, and i'm glad to see it's still holding up.

When he tells me, welcome to another video, I truly feel welcome. He really is speaking to us, and makes my usual shitty 30 minutes of getting up and getting to work, so much better as I listen to these videos and get dressed/brush teeth/etc. I get ready for work with your videos playing. Thank you so much for adding a boost to my shitty ducking mornings.

the 1050 ti has become the new 750 ti, its reached the legendary status that its predecessor set, now lets see when the 3050 takes its place, the XX50 series has been the holy grail for budget gamers for a long time

The fact that this entry level graphics card from more than 5 years ago is still good enough for most games at reasonable settings

In term of cheap GPU's I personally recommended the rx570 it's really good for 1080p, it's gonna run everything you want and with correct settings. if you don't mind having less than 60 in singelplayer games you can even turn up settings to high/Ultra at for 40ish fps wich still provide a very enjoyable experience, especially if you're using a controller (what I personally do). And let's not forget that it comes in two versions, 4g of vram and 8g, if you can find the 8g version (which I have) that rules out any vram issues you could get with only 4

My first desktop GPU was a 660ti, and it was surprisingly awesome at 1080p low settings. Upgrading to a 1050ti was even better for half the power usage

I loved my 1050ti, very sad I had to sell it a while ago. Best value gpu I've ever bought, very little power consumption. I enjoyed moving up to a gtx 1070, but I have more love for the 1050ti as to what it can do for the price. Awesome gpu :)

My cousin still has one going strong all these years later and swears by it. He's repasted it a couple of times, and recently clamped two 80mm fans to it in lieu of its original fans.

The 750Ti and 1050Ti were great cards and still are when using it in the right purpose! :-)

I have had a gtx 1050 ti since 2017 I have been impressed with its performance. Before all the updates on Cyberpunk I was able to have my settings to high at 720p and got a solid 40-55 fps. Idk what happened but last time I tried that it didn't work too well

I've had my current pc with R5 1600 + 1050Ti for like 5 years now, and I think I'll keep this rig again for another year. Looking into these types of videos, it shows that the card is still decent and can still handle most modern games with some adjustments in the settings.

Another thing I'd like to add context as well, most of the games being featured in benchmarks like this are games that I have no interest in playing, so I kinda see no reason to upgrade at the moment. Heck, most of the games I've been playing on PC recently are either ports of JRPGs from the PS3/PS4 and some indie games which doesn't really need high specs. For the remainder of the year, I only have one game I plan to get on PC and that's Soul Hackers 2 and the sys req for that isn't even high.

So yeah, guess it's another waiting game for me. I don't see the likes of Elder Scrolls VI or the new Witcher game to come out anytime soon anyway, so I might end up building a pc with the RX8000/RTX50 series in the future lol.

I had the 1050ti since 2016, and just upgraded to a 1660 super last month. Thank you for 6 and half years 1050ti. Great video brother!

The other nice thing about the 1050 Ti is it's still pretty good for NVEnc. Converting raw 28Mbit AVHCD camera files to 8Mbit h264, I get well over 200fps with a 1050 Ti driven by a 2700X.
