Used market for GPUs are a godsend and I’m glad you mentioned them. I snagged a BNIB 3060 TI ASUS KO for $350, a lightly used RX580 8GB for $65, and even a GTX980 for $60. My friends who were running their 750Tis and 1050Tis are eating GOOD this Christmas.

AMD cards are a super value right now. Great to see them getting some love. The AMD drivers are much better than they used to be, as well.

If I were buying a new card right now here in the UK I'd buy the RX6600, it's by far the best bang for buck over here at £250 inc VAT and delivery. It's basically a 2060S without (usable) RT functions (not that that matters at this level) and Tensor witchcraft. As someone that uses a 2060S for 1080P gaming this level of performance is more than good enough. Outside of that, 9 series GTX cards are really great value but they're the next Nvidia range to lose support or you can find good deals on 70-80 series Pascal cards, though I'd need a 1080 to come in around £150 or I'd still be minded just to spend on the RX6600 for the warranty and up to date instruction set.

Local deals have been pretty decent. I've seen GTX 1080s for $100 USD. I've also seen RX6600 for $159 and RX5700 XT for $150. All these are still great cards.

I actually bought a 6600 XT during the pandemic when someone bought my 1070 for $380 because I was just deseperate for something that could run games 60+ fps on my 1440 ultrawide. It was an awesome card but I hate how much I paid for mine. Luckily I sold it for $300 used and later got a 6900 XT for $500.

On eBay right around Black Friday there were some amazing deals. I got an MSI prebuilt with a Ryzen 5600X and a 6700xt for $600. There was another prebuilt with an intel 12700 and a 3060ti for $700 but I went with the all AMD.

Got a gtx 1080 fe for $40 from a buddy at work. I couldn't pull my wallet out fast enough. I told him afterwards that it was a few days before my bday and the deal he gave me was an awesome present. I plan on putting it in a rig with a R5 5600. I know the 1080 will be a bit of a bottleneck, but it definitely gives me some time to have fun while I save up for a faster gpu.

The used market right now is really good. Was about to snag a rx590 for $60. 2 6600xt for $300. The guy was selling me just 1 for $180. Saw that he had another one up for sell and told him if he would do $300 for both. Dude said yes. Been able to get other higher end cards as well. Mostly amd. Really good market right now.

I finally got to drop by and visit the shop today. Friendly staff, and lots of fun stuff. While I was looking, I was thinking about the slim computer I have in the garage and how I need a low profile graphics card for it. I got some ideas just looking at what was for sale (the 730 seem to be logical, but I need more power for Fortnite). Can't wait to see this when I have time later.

got a 6600 for 200 CAD and ended up being 250 CAD after shipping and ebay tax but its a fantastic gpu and works flawlessly so far
