Save your time and don't to this! While this looks good immediately after installing, there has to be an expansion gap or your flooring will buckle up.

What do you put along the edges to cover the gap where the flooring meets the sill plate? I'm putting in 12mm laminate up against 3/4" oak sill plate so have just the slightest elevated gap where quarter round would be way too tall?

Could you not use a piece of old wall paper and make a paper pattern for it and save the chance of wasting the more expensive flooring?

Plank stairs. How much do they cost material and labor. Do a video please

Undercut the sill plate and slide the plank under or leave expansion gap and use an end cap to cover gap. Hope that helps somebody.
