RetroArch Nintendo 3DS Core Setup Guide - How To Play 3DS Games With RetroArch

This time we look at how to set up RetroArch to play Nintendo 3DS games using the Citra core. This guide covers downloading and installing the Citra core and some tips to upscale and improve 3DS game graphics in RetroArch.

Things you'll need to do before you start:

1. Install RetroArch
2. Have a 3DS game ROM file ready to use
3. Connect a Controller to your PC
4. Ensure you have OpenGL 3.3 or higher installed

NOTE - The Citra core at the time of producing this video is not available on the MacOS version of RetroArch.

I did everything as showed in the video, once i open up a game it starts up but immediatly crashes again, whats the issue?

I found that the crash in games can be solved occasionally by using an older core.

Just so ppl know, citra has been discontinued with the most recent Nintendo lawsuit. There will be no further dev unless someone is brave enough to pick it up

it doesnt show up for me im using my macbook pro it shows almost all nintendo consoles but not 3ds

I've made a nintendo 3ds overlay and was having difficulty scaling the 2 screens to fit it. I remember being able to set the distance between the two screens but don't remember how I did it. Driving me insane! I've downloaded the mega bezel pack as one of the shaders is meant to allow you to set distances but couldn't get it to work. Any help would be really appreciated

i think i need some help here, i tried to play SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked (3ds game) on retroarch after follow instructions from this video. But all i see here is blackscreen but i still can listen the audio of this game normally. Any ideas whats going on?
