As a history major at Lincoln University, I am currently taking two African history courses this semester and I felt warmth from the truth and honesty that this man was informing us on. This was refreshing yet blunt, and all people need to view history with a non-bias approach in order to not only understand the history of all people but to understand that there is always room for the mind and soul to grow.

This should be at least on a million views. Africans need to know their roots

I would say with Slight reservation about Haiti. The Africans decided to remove the name Saint Domingue and sought to return the islands to what the indigenous named it as Ayiti or Haiti

Dear Dr. Onyeka Nubia, your video is relevant today in the times of George Floyd murder and subsequent protest. Thank you for this video. I have recommend it to a group of Somali diaspora kids who are living in Somalia but who still identify as American or British. They are in a identity crisis and I want them to watch your video as well as other videos as a must watch. They should also learn about their African identity and roots. They are Somali and African. They should be proud of it.

Such a brilliant analysis of the state of the African Diaspora's mental condition when it involves identity. This should be heard by all African descendants..

I love videos like this one, what is the way forward ?? Africans are we going to continue crying about the pains and all sort evil things that were done to us Africans..
I think it’s high time we stop crying and do something for Ourselves.. Bob Marley once said Africa Unite for the betterment of your people, he was not only talking about the Continent of Africa but black people over the World ..
We are taken advantage of by other races because we don’t love ourselves.. divided we fall and United we stand ..

Nigerians like to make a distinction, like they are better than other Africans.Like that takes you away from being Africans.it's abit concerning.Because of that behavior some other African countries don't want to support them anymore.

How can we reverse the decision made at Berlin conference? Is it even possible? Or is Africa ok with be in pieces now-a-days?

Otto Von Bismarck and other European minds broke down the African family structure and culture. The perplexing issue is how can one get colonized in their own country?

"We became devoid of culture." This man should know that African culture did, in fact, transmit to the Americas, both the good and the bad. Blues, voodoo, jargon, even the distinct way in which black Christians in the Americas worshipped, with a cacophony of psalmic praise and vigorous song and movement. African instruments made it over into the Americas and radically effected Southern music, in some cases even before the blues.
