Northanger Abbey is actually one of my favourite Jane Austen novels as well! I'm hoping to reread it and read The Monk which is mentioned in the book as well. Praying with Jane sounds so good. Jane Austen at Home is my favourite Austen biography.

I adore Northanger Abbey! It just doesn’t get the love and attention it deserves, in my opinion. I love how it references the gothic novels of her day, and even though it predates the Brontë sisters, it feels like a gentle parody of Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights (which I also love).

You will love Joan Aiken's book Jane Fairfax. I read it several years ago and I think about it a lot. She wrote one about Mansfield Park that I liked as well. Before the internet and Thrift books was the rage, I found a bookseller that had the little trade paperback edition of it and I paid about thirty dollars for it. I saw it later for a couple of dollars. But I wanted to read it when I wanted it so I'm glad I got it. I think I bought the two dollar one as well.

I also love Northanger Abbey, but my heart belongs to Persuasion! Praying with Jane sounds lovely and the Lucy Worsley is a must read for me. Her biography of Agatha Christie is terrific

I also have been reading Jane and Cassandra's letters to each other during July every year.

I enjoyed both Jane Austen At Home and The Genius of Jane Austen. I also bought Jane Austen Was Here for this July. My favorite novel is usually Persuasion but really it tends to be which one I read last!

I love Jane Austen. I just got a new book that is a 'sequel' of 'Sense and Sensibility' called 'The Death of Mrs Willoughby'. I cant wait to read.

I just bought Jane Austen at Home for my son’s girlfriend. I think I need to buy a copy for myself or put it on my September birthday wish list. 😊 I’m going to buddy read Emma with a friend. I’ve only been reading JA for the last year and I am 60 years old! Better late than never, right? 😂

I think I'll take your lead, and participate without worrying about the prompts. I think I'm going to read Northanger Abbey, although I would love to read Mansfield Park again, too. (I loved Mansfield Park when I first read it many years ago, not realizing that many didn't or it was their least favourite by a long shot!)

I just got Death Comes to Pemberly, so that's on the list. And her prayers. And I didn't finish What Jane Austen Ate and Charles Dickens Knew last year.

I just ordered The Jane Austen Cookbook and Lost in Austen:A choose Your Own Adventure Book (recommended for a fun time by Janelle at Too Fond Of Books last year) from the library. Unfortunately, I can't get Jane Fairfax or The Other Bennett Sister (except online) from the library.

Praying with Jane looks really interesting. I also came across a Christian Encounters biography of JA by Peter Leithart that talks about the faith that shaped her character and her writing and life, but I don't know if I'll read that this year or not.

Like you, my favourite is whatever I'm reading or thinking about or hear somebody else talking about . . .😆

Hi, time to celebrate our wonderful Miss Jane ❤. Im reading the Worsley bio now, and i can't put it down, its great! I also have the P.D. James book, will try. I imagine youve read the Mullen book, What Matters in Jane Austen? So fun, interesting! Favorite...not really sure..need a reread of P&P...may be Sense& Sensibility though. I love that so much.
...I wish Jane could've seen all this...

Northanger Abbey is my favorite book. The only book I haven't read is Emma. I may read both this year. I also want to continue reading Lucy Worsley's book about Jane. I can only read a little at a time of non-fiction, so I have been reading it for 3 years now. Also I will read book 2 in a series about Mary Bennet as a spy.

My favorite Jane Austen is Lady Susan. I read it last July and loved it. Emma and Persuasion are my favorites from the main novels.

Hi Mitzi! I’m definitely reading Sense and Sensibility in July. I may participate in the group read. And I think I want to reread P and P since I have forgotten some of the characters. Happy JA July!!
