Here's some cool stuff I found out while doing a Pikmin One Randomizer.

I think the reason water dumples and drawf bublorbs can be flattened is because it relates to their mechanics when getting crushed by a pikmin landing directly on their back.

The flattening is likely just inherited from the enemy base class.

There is an enemy in the code of pikmin 1 that went unused and shoots out rocks like the cannon larvae so its possible that the enemies that can get flattened were going to be around it before it was removed

Actually when I played Pikmin 1 and first encountered Smokey Progg he physically walked away from the onions up the wall to the right and climbed up it to slowly decent back down again


He also bugged my pikmin counter and possible just the game too

Dwarf bulborb omlette
Put a squashed dwarf bulborb into a pan and crack some eggs with some vegetables. Use a single chili to give it a nice kick!
Dwarf bulbear toast
Put your squashed dwarf bulbear into a toaster and toast to your liking. Add some butter or marmalade with a crack of pepper and a pinch of salt for great flavour.
Water dumple pancakes
Rub an eggwash on a squashed water dumple and fry for 20 seconds. Repeat this 6 times then fry for approximately 20 minutes with syrup and bacon for a delicious pancake.
