Pikmin 2's Incredibly Secret Enemy

Fun fact: the Ujadani is actually based a real mite with the name being dani. As many of you may know pikmin is very heavily connected to the lost of nature in Japan, and one of the many past times of kids were spent catching fighting stag or rhino beetles. These beetles would often have Dani on them and are a bit of a pain to get off. The name ujadani is based of uja-uja which is an onomatopoeia in Japanese for scuttling and Dani for the mites. I didn’t know these creatures existed until a couple of years ago when I found them by accident. I always arm myself with their sprays before I tackle Dream Den.

Holy crap, I stumbled on these the other day by chance. I was confused as to what they were since it's not in the bestiary. The extra sprays have been really handy.

You can double how many sprays you get by dismissing, then pushing one of your captains into the spray, and then walking into the spray yourself! You end up getting 2 sprays for 1!

i played pikmin 2 for way too long (aka i spent my days just booting up the game, getting a routine to beat up every enemy to farm pikmins, up to 10k each color even purps/whites, even having 99 spray)
and i just remembered theses guys existence and i was so confused when i met them
i thought they were like the rocks you destroy in perplexing pool to get nectar
i really wanted them to spawn but i never knew how

On my first playthrough I seen them but was worried they were going to somehow easily wipe out all of my pikmin so I never did. Atleast I was too stubborn to use sprays back then so I didn’t lose out on much
