I am so glad their stories are forever recorded in these interviews. Long after they finally find peace in heaven, future generations can watch and listen to what these heroes faced as, in many cases, very young men. Mere teenagers when called to serve. I am a Vietnam Era veteran. Served 21 years in the world's finest Navy. I have nothing but respect and a grateful heart for our combat troops in all branches of our military. I salute them

I simply cannot fathom. I think the average age of a soldier on D-day was early 20s. They were incredibly tough boys. So determined and disciplined. We truly owe that generation more than we could ever repay. God bless.

He's one of the Bedford boys from Virginia. This man was a major force behind getting the D-Day memorial built. God blessed him that day. 🇺🇸
