I have used the Zoom H1n for many years to record lectures and found it invaluable. The only problem with the old one I found was that if I left a battery in it the battery would go flat.

I have ordered a Zoom H1n that is arriving tomorrow and can't wait to get my hands on to it. Perhaps, I too have GAS like someone mentioned in these comments somewhere, but I didn't know I wanted this little beast until I realized the phone recorder can only do so much. ❤ I muchly appreciated the humour(yes, spelt with a 'u")and even more the fact that you used the words wind and gas in a technical video.
