Which full frame Sony camera should you buy in 2022? There are so many Sony cameras out there, so in this video I will try to explain the purpose of each Sony camera I own at the moment in February 2022. We will talk about Sony full frame cameras: Sony a1, Sony A9 ii, Sony A7R iv and Sony A7iv. As a bonus will also be showing you the Sony ZV1 . I will not be talking much about specs, you could read those online yourself, I will tall you the things you can't read in the specs, like pros and cons, problems and personal opinions.

I’m looking at the A92 as I shoot sports. Would love it to be 30mg pixels like the A74 but I need the stack sensor. The A74 only shoots at 10 frames so not really a baby A1. If it shot at twenty I would buy it today
Do you agree??

Yes, BIG boys are great but they are too HEAVY, that’s why I prefer APSC SONY bodies. Only wish SONY didn’t take so long to come out with a new APSC body. Excellent review, your accent is easy to understand without having to rewind and listen to it over again. Oh, and FLIPPEE screens don’t matter to me. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s.

Thank you so much. I was thinking about getting the A1. I came across your video. I will get the A7IV. The price is reasonable. I love the flip screen and all the features it has. Efficiency with hard drive space is essential. The A7IV is better for conserving hard drives & SD cards. I appreciate the comparisons. 😎👍📸📸📸

I think the a9 would really benefit from getting a mark III, but I am not sure if the a9 line makes a lot of sense nowadays with the beefy a7 variants that are currently available

Great video & new subscriber here, I have been using Nikon for the last 12 years, I have the D500 & D610 . I am considering buying the Sony 7rIV . with the 200 - 600mm lens. I'm glad you posted your experience with the camera body and lens. I will do some more research before I buy What are the best SC cards which you use, or you can suggest. Thank you

Don’t you feel like the mechanical shutter of the a7iv is loud for quiet events? I found the slap to be far too loud. So I wanted to use electronic. Which is why I still use my a9ii (which I got used for $2400).

I’ve heard lots of people report having the same issue you experienced with the 7RIV and the 200-600mm with the 7IV. have you used those two together and if so was that not your experience? thanks for this overview - really insightful!

6:30 that's really helpful for me. I have been capturing birds using A7R4 with 200-600G but got blurred photos. For a month I have been trying to figure out if it was a problem with the lens or the body before coming across your video. Now I am seriously considering an A1, not A9-2 because I am not a specialized wildlife shooter and I use my camera for a mixture of everything like macro, astrophoto, landscape etc.

I bought an a7iv on 27th December. And I'm loving it.

Thanks for the vid. How does the A7-4 do with wildlife, panning, etc? Slantedt/tilting objects in the photos?

Nice video Skyler thanks for your thoughts on each camera. I bought the 7R1V for wildlife and I hated it. Too much noise above ISO 1, 000 and as you found out it just won't work with the 200-600. Sold it and went with the 7R3. I've been happy with it for 2 years but am now considering the A1 and selling the R3. I'm trying to convince myself it's what I need to do versus having the itch for something new and shiny.

Great review with the top four from Sony, just like to know which one is the best for low light performance as I shoot a lot in the evening for street photography, many thanks.

If the weather is bad and you want to shoot wildlife and don’t want to use your expensive camera then A9ii is your savior

I've had my A7r4 for a while and I'm thinking switching to the A74. I'm primarily shoot portrait photography, indoor and outdoor. Do you recommend this?

As an owner of the A1 and A7iv myself, I would totally agree with you that the A7iv is like a baby A1, it can do anything. I use my A1 mainly for wildlife photography so I have larger MP to allow for cropping, but for everything else I tend to pick up the A7iv. I like the flip screen to aid portrait shots low to the ground and for vlogging. As a shooter of video, as well as stills, I like the switch from stills to video with separate settings. The main things I prefer with the A1 is the higher resolution display and lack of black outs between shots. I have not to date taken advantage of it’s high frame rate. 10 fps of the A7iv is usually enough for me.
