I went to the vinfast retail location and looked at the two SUVs they were bringing to Canada. Both of them have major fit and finish issues on the exterior and interior panels. There interior at the side of the 2nd row bench, where the the carpeted panels meet near the wheel well arch, of their vf9, had gaps large enough that I could stick my finger through.

I need 410 miles between charges - for the sole reason that it is what my current (sub $30k, fully paid for) vehicle is capable of. Not really logical to ask me to pay twice to thrice the price for half the range. I think if the whole EV plan was to benefit the people who buy them, they would’ve first spent 3 to 7 years putting in a reliable standardized recharging infrastructure. Let’s start thinking about eliminating the huge, environmentally catastrophic (both in construction, and disposal) battery from these vehicles, by developing and refining inductive power technology. The supply of lithium on the planet is clearly finite. It’s time people realize that. Have a good day.
