We just bought the brand new 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB250+ electric EV. In this video we review it and share all the things we like and hate about this electric SUV. (EQB 350 owner, so I'm being a bit defensive :) The front seats can be extended forward to support longer legs, that's been MB design for decades. This is an SUV and not a van, so the third row is obviously for kids, no point getting it if you don't have any. The complaint about the range is partly ok - as it does have noticeably less of a range than a Tesla -, but realistically how often do you drive that far anyway..? And if you do, after 200 miles you should take a break anyway and refill at a fast charger in less than half an hour. I fully agree on the brakes - there is too much room where nothing happens, and then it's very strong. The comfort and quietness make up for anything in my opinion, no need for a car that gets me several seconds faster to a speeding ticket :)

I own EQB 300 4matic & like it. I don’t do road trips that much so range is fine. I charge at home. I had GLC before this one & EQB is fine. Looks like complaining for sake of complaining 😂

Thanks for the honest review guys! I love my Tesla Model Y performance, but my wife hates it. (Mostly because she says I accelerate too fast.) Was hoping this would be a good alternative for her. I guess I will look at the VW ID4 instead though I hear the software updates are not that great compared to Tesla.

I'm in the market for a 7 passenger as I have 3 children. I tried the model Y and my 8 year old who is tiny had her head against the glass when on her booster. We didn't have that issue in the EQB. The brakes issue does concern me though.

Is there any other options for 7 passenger in this price point? Sure the EQS suv or X look but they come in at double the price.

Also I think brakes are an essential part, no matter how good the technology I always feel your natural instinct to brake is stronger than techs. If someone was to step out in the road then you go to brake and it’s not there just doesn’t seem safe.

The brake pressure is adapted in function of a lot of factors: how fast you release the acceleration pedal, the distance to the vehicle in front, regen braking is on auto, the next event coming from nav system together with your turn lights indicator, you use cruise control and you are driving down a hill, etc.
