The real tragedy isn't companions dying - it's that we can't have them all walking around the orbiter at once (despite Ordis's objections).

Every companion should just not die. I almost say not take damage, but that could have some benefit to their design. It's another one of those DE design issues that they're incredibly stubborn about despite everyone in the world telling them they're being dumb about it.

Before Oxylus took the throne of "The Fishing Sentinel", Diriga was the best one to bring due to the sheer range of its attack being able to kill off patrols at good distances. Was fantastic as a "Fuck you, I'm Fishing" tool.

every sentinel / companion should have a "dormant" state when they "die" because almost all companions are just straight up useless. They feel great when you start the game but once you get to levels where enemies do even just reasonable damage, sentinels don't matter or picking up your cat / dog is a chore.

I think this whole tier list just proves that DE should make all sentinels not able to die in some form or another, whether they become like the Vulpaphylas or not, or at least allow their passive abilities to remain active even after they die

Jokes aside honestly it's a shame that DE still havn't fully overhauled companions. Companions not dying should be a mechanic where if they reach 0 health they return to a cocoon for beasts except for infested cats. While mechanical pets turn into a "backpack" so on death beasts are stationary structures while mechanical are directly on the player. Beast return after a period of time while mechanical get something similar to arby's but without decreasing health you collect 3 shards from killing enemies then you can resurrect the mechanical pet for free this way the beast and mechanical have revive mechanics that function differently but still achieve the same goal.

All beast companions should have either a claw/fang weapon, move damage mods from the companion to the weapon spot. All "unique" companion mods should be reworked, companions just like warframe, necramech, archwing, and whatever else I'm forgetting, should have a passive and 4 abilities not these "unique" mods cluttering their inventory and making them function differently from EVERYTHING else in the game. Just give them a passive and abilities non-unique mods stay the same. Not to mention this is a consistency problem DE regularly has.

Lastly we should have another "wheel" like gear and emotes but for 5 companion behaviors. “Support”, will cause the AI to avoid combat and focus more on activating non-combat abilities as often as possible while staying near the player. “Careful”, will cause the AI to be aggressive however below 50% health it will immediately try to run back to the player and act Loyal. “Loyal”, will cause the AI to stay as close to the player as possible similar to current sentinels, when an enemy gets too close to the player only then they will attack. “Aggressive”, will cause the AI to attack anything close to it no matter how far away or outnumbered. “Follow”, will cause the AI to only attack what the player does.


Hunter command and regen should for obvious reasons be reworked. Hell I wouldn't mind regen being split into two to cover the two revival mechanics I mentioned for beast/robotic since we'd get space freed up from damage mods being moved and "unique" mods being removed.

They definitely all need some sort of universal not dying. Like how they changed all archwings to have blink, I think companions are in a somewhat similar situation

Djinn is made of tissue paper and the respawn timer takes ages. I'd use it to occasionally vacuum stuff up if I'm doing a 4-hour survival or something but anything else and it's gonna spend more time dead that carrier assuming carrier can survive half the mission with regen. and of course once you have a Vulpa you'll never use Djinn again

Regen and / or Primed Regen should just be changed to be for all companions with no revive limit like:
If killed regenerates with 100% (variable on mod rank level) health and is invulnerable for 11s (variable on mod rank level)

That would at least make all Companions useable, small down time between having your vaccum and gimmicks active otherwise they would always be around

I think Dethcube could be placed a little higher, while the Sahasa Kubrow gives you a big burst of energy, Dethcube is useful for a constant supply of energy.

I wish the Vasca had something to keep itself alive, it’s whole life-steal to save your warframe is great on paper for weaker frames but it won’t survive long enough without a frame tanky enough to subsequently invalidate it.

Also shadow clone robo dog is SSS tier purely from a meme standpoint

I'd say that Deathcube Prime should definitely be a little higher up, at least top of Usable if not bottom of A tier. The energy it generates by just existing is insane on mechs that need just a holy metric fuckload of energy, and if you have any way to give it DR, it's not likely to get itself killed too often, especially with the Synth Set giving it a sizeable amount of armor.

Remember Helios has a baby version of Banshee's Sonar w/ the aug. I've found it to be pretty nice on Steel Path (just Ropalolyst and Ambulus left) and he's stayed alive remarkably well. Seen 2.5mil with Mirage/Tenet Arca. I'd put him at A but it's your list. Helminth charger w/ the deluxe skin from Nidus is great for aesthetics also. Most of the rest is pretty spot on. Thanks for the vid!

Helminth Charger and a properly built (cool looking) Sister Hound clearly belong in the Aesthetics tier, Chargers are not ugly as hell anymore and its amusing as hell to watch your robodogo split into three and swarm an enemy by itself.

The good thing about the Vasca is that you can make hybrids with the Smeeta so you the aesthetic without actually having to use one

This is the most accurate Tier representation on Youtube period with the exception of the balloon over Shade. Shades damage augment overshadows the balloon usage, and the invisibility shade offers is occasionally useful for adding to survivability so it beats the balloon on those grounds.
