We already knew the reason. Back in 2016 they wanted to do cross save but it came about that the code was so spaghettified that they needed time to get it sorted and cleaned out enough for cross save. It took them a decade to fully clean out the code enough for it to be good enough to handle cross save

It took so long for many reasons, licensing, the community, lack of studio ability, bugs, account corruption and many more issues.

Warframe is an old game, my guess is they weren't able to use the traditional method of cross save other games use and had to come up with something new, because I don't remember the last time I played a game that uses multiple technically separate linked accounts to save your data. Technically when you are playing from a different platform you are playing from a different account with a different username and everything.

Cross save is massive and quite complicated, especially for a game like Warframe. It has been a big priority for them for a while, but they can't just magically snap their fingers and turn it on, there's a ton of hard work that went into making it possible.

Same yo I’m so happy I moved my ps4 save with 1500+ hours and $1000 + spent to my pc and then being able to lay down and continue on my switch. Glorious to be back
