Disney DEMONETIZED My Entire YouTube Channel….

In July of 2024, I was l was fully banned from the YouTube Partner Program. I am no longer allowed to monetize ANY videos on my channel, and YouTube even removed the feature that allowed you guys to donate to me….

I was required to make this appeal video and submit it to YouTube in a final attempt to restore my channel. Within minutes of submitting the video, YouTube denied my request, and my channel remains fully demonetized.

I will not allow this ridiculous decision to impact my love for Star Wars, and especially my love for analyzing Star Wars deleted scenes…. I am determined to fight harder than ever, and will be making more content and animations than ever before.

Yours is a great channel. There’s too much negative Star Wars stuff out there but your work focuses on the love and depth of Star Wars. May the Force be with you.

Youtube's been demonetizing a ton of stuff lately. All of the channels I follow have had issues. Almost as if they want creators to leave.

You are a quality contributor to the Star Wars space (no pun intended hehe)

Hope you get remonetized. As soon as I'm not poor, I'm definitely buying a lightsaber from the store!

Good luck, I hoe you get your channel back. I love your videos!I remember watching Empire Strikes Back in the theater in 1980. It´s good that Star Wars continues to inspire people more than 40 years later.

Man, that’s happening to so many Youtubers now. What was the reason?

I'm a kid of the 80s and according to one of your earlier videos, we 80s kids are too soft because the studio execs, in their opinion, cut a scene from Empire that may have upset us. You dis the generation that kept Star Wars alive you get what you deserve. Karma

The whole reason I subscribe to your channel is because it is unique. Your dedication is top notch as well. I hope this gets cleared up for you. I'm also personally interested because my channel is on a (very slow) trajectory towards potential monetization. Best wishes as this plays out.

I think your videos show a genuine love for Star Wars, amd maintain goodwill and interest _in_ SW. I personally think a positive channel like yours would help to increase goodwill and thereby, earnings for Disney. So I'm with you, you should be able to earn a bit of moolah from all the jours you put into content creation to further interest in SW amd keep thebflame going actually better and more genuinely than Disney themselves. 👍

That really sucks, and you were doing so well with the income. Best of luck, I certainly think you're in the right on this one.

Im sorry, but you seem to be missing the point - Whilst your videos may be transformative, you do not own the Star Wars IP.
Just because you've put time and money into it, written your own scripts, and hired animators to produce original content, the intellectual property of Star Wars still belongs to Disney.
The fact that the content is transformative is why it is allowed to remain on YouTube, (just like fan films), but that doesn't mean you (or fan film-makers) are entitled to make money off of something you dont own the rights to.

I know Disney has always been viciously active in protecting their copyrights and trademarks, etc., but here's the thing: they bought Star Wars after it was already a complete IP, and their aggressive legal actions are not productive towards maintaining a positive, healthy fanbase.
MANY people had already been building careers around Star Wars by the time Disney purchased it, and these people often brought and bring enjoyable, fulfilling content and perspectives to this world we all LOVE. Disney should have observed this, and decided not to take the same approach to the Star Wars IP that they do with their original IPs and creations, because otherwise, they risk alienating the fanbase they need to cultivate and maintain, and destroying people's love of this IP by adding all this new negative information about how they don't want anyone else profitting or growing off of this massive fictional world. How do they think new fans, or people who aren't content creators, will react when they see a Creator like you demonetized or taken to court simply for making content about something we all love? It will turn them off, and dissuade future fans from creating content for it. Do they not realize that fan-creations and fan-perspectives are what provide a massive portion of the depth to a fictional IP??
What makes this even worse, is how wealth Disney already is. It's not like they're a small business with a new patent that desperately needs to protect their patent to grow and survive. Was your channel in any way taking away from their profits? I seriously doubt it with every fiber of my being. Which means, these moves by Disney are purely greed. The irony, that by culling fan enthusiam through these methods, they are likely affecting their own profits. But it's just so sad, because before Disney, there was no problem with people building a new channel or business around this IP, so long as they didn't violate LucasArts' policies. We wouldn't have all the fan films, musical remixes, channels like Star Wars Theory, lightsaber companies, and cos-play businesses, if LucasArts had pursued these aggresive tactics from the beginning. Part of having a thriving and successful fictional IP is encouraging community engagment, and not attacking out of greed whenever a part of the fanbase finds a way to make a career out of an aspect of this world. It's so, so sad. I hope you get your channel straightened out. I truly does. Nobody should lose their dream after achieving it so young due to nothing but the GREED of a major corporation. I know it happens, but this feels closer to home because it's Star Wars.
Good luck man. I wish you all the love and light in the world. May the Force Be With You, Always.
