Thank you so much!!! I tried a couple of other results I found, but yours was right on point. I had 2 choices as in dates for my restore and I went for the older option and it didn't work. I was disappointed thinking that the newer date wouldn't work either, but it did. You are the man!!

thnx man i was so used to the old method. also thnx for explaining that the new system restore on boot pretty much does it saf3 mode style. no need to go to safe mode for restore

Odd way to get into system restore but it worked!! I was trying to get it to work in a friend's computer I was working on and I couldn't get to it when i booted directly into safe mode in Windows 8.1

if I do reset in d window recovery it says some files are missing . your windows installation will provide these files

I have windows 8.1 and I can't sync my iPod to iTunes because of it and also videos on YouTube unless in chrome show up green screen or on Facebook white .. Trying to restore to like a week or 2 ago when it all worked using this technique now. If there is a better fix for my individual issues enlighten me!
