I decided to compare Davinci Resolve Timeline Playback in a bunch of scenarios. I looked at Davinci on an older pc, compared to a new pc built for video editing, and I compared each machine in multiple scenarios, including with and without Davinci studio, and with and without proxies on both machines.

good video, i have r5 2600, 1660 super, 32gb ram, i need to upgrade to studio version? or upgrade the CPU or GPU?

so i use premiere pro and i want to stop and use davinci really bad because it seems like it is so perfect it has everything in one software, my problem is my laptop is lenovo ideapad 5 which basically core i7 11th gen and has ssd and the external gpu is mx450 the real problem for me is the ram is 8 gb and i thought i could upgrade it in the future turned out to be soldered so it will always be only 8 gb ram, with that being said can i use davinci and try to do the cool stuff in fusion or my laptop won't survive and i just stick to premiere pro
