One of the things I like about Lenovos gaming laptops is theyre very sleek looking, not tacky and covered in RGB or other things on typical gaming laptops. It means that if you turn the rgb off of the keyboard, it looks like any old business laptop. This makes it a good alternative to actual business laptops which can be a lot more expensive.

If you uninstalled that mcafee adware and other rubbish you'd get way more performance and battery.

Got the Lenovo LOQ 15 Ryzen 7 7840HS yesterday for $699.99. Lenovo said it can take up to 32gb of RAM. But I read on some forums that it can work with 64gb. I got 2 32gb 4800MHz in there and it works fine. So, I have 64gb of RAM. I also added a 2TB NVME SSD to the 512gb that comes with the laptop (it has 2 slots). Nice deal from Best Buy. The best laptop for the money.

I may be wrong here but I notice you mentioned the laptop has no shortcut to adjust the brightness of the keyboard's backlight. I have a Legion 5 that has a single zone backlight so on mine the shortcut is FN + Spacebar which on this model cycles through your profiles as you pointed out. But I think on these models that have RGB keyboards you use FN + the Up & Down arrow keys to adjust brightness.

Nice in-depth review of the laptop though. I like the improvements & rebrand that Lenovo have made on the Ideapad Gaming 3/LOQ.

Have you had the chance to compare this with a dell g15 or a Lenovo legion with similiar specs?
If so, what’s your opinions between them regarding heat and quality of build and sound of fans?
Thanks 🙏

Thanks for this vid. Here in Mexico this is only available with the Ryzen5 (same 4060, and 16GB RAM) - will that be a lot worse?

I can have this exact same model (same specs) for about 825€ which is 896 USD (new from Amazon). At this price do you think it's of good value? Should I get it or are there other better options at the same price?

Awesome review. This has a 140w power delivery so does it mean we can use a power delivery charger to charge the laptop?

I have a question. I own this. I bought this laptop. Is it normal for there to be heat in the keyboard in the area of the letter B and spread around it even when the laptop is not pressed at work?

Thanks for the review. May I ask is Processor or GPU more important for gaming?
I see in the shop different specs from your video, for USD 730:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS
Memory: 8 GB SO-DIMM DDR5-5600
Graphics: RTX 3050 6GB GDDR6 Boost Clock.

Is this acceptable for the price or are they short changing me in terms of the lower processor/graphics card? What would you change? Thanks so much.

Loved the video.
I own a Lenovo LOQ 15APH8 - Type 82XT.
It comes with 2 x 8 GB RAM DDR5 SO-DIMM 5600 MHZ and I want to upgrade it with 2 x 16 GB;
However, I can't seem to find info on Cas Latency (CL) of the original.
Would You please help me?

Thanks in advance.
