Also a nice touch: you can hear a magpie chattering in the background around 1:01. :P The city of magpies.

Gotta love how in the first title sequence we zoomed out of the Lyra’s/Will’s world (Lyra’s being on bottom with zeppelins and Will’s on top mirroring her world with airplanes) and now we’re zooming out of Cittàgazze as that is the focus of the second season. But the order of other worlds still holds so we can the Lyra’s/Will’s world still on top of Cittàgazze

Putting the names of Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson together was a very good touch, and for season 3 (if they make a season 3) it would be amazing if they make a combination of the three objects: the alethiometer, the knife and the spyglass 🧭 🔪 🔭

This starts with dust clashing, creating the Authority, and then smaller versions (angels) breaking off from him and flying away. The attention to detail is INCREDIBLE!

I seriously can't watch this title sequence enough. It's a masterpiece. I shared it on my wall the other day and people who weren't familiar with the show or the stories were somewhat neutral about it. I think its true, to some extent, if you're following this title sequence for the first time and you aren't familiar with the books, you're not going to get the full impact of what you're looking at until the series ends. But that's fine, because this is what most of us have been waiting for for 25 years and they're doing everything right.

My favourite detail in the intro is when pan shifts from pine marten to white ermine.
