Steam: Fix EA Games 'Close Origin Beta' | Unable to start game

Want to start an EA game from Steam, whether you own it or you've got it from an EA Play subscription, but can't? Well, if you're seeing an issue about having to close Origin first, then this video is to help you. By the end, you should be able to play all the EA games you own without an issue.

This video was very helpful. Couldn't start Anthem via Steam. It would always close after 30secs. Followed your video. Deleted EA app and installed Origin app. Initially didn't work but after closing Origin app and opening directly from Steam it finally synced and ran Anthem. Steam overlay, screenshots and controller support all works! Thank you.

God fkn damn EA is great at making overcomplicated game launches.
Mirrors edge cataclyst needed a ton of fixing, so did dragon age inquisition, might og magic and so and say every single one of my ea games. i dont understand how they have such trouble makingthe play button actully play the games

I have also a problem witch origin... I buyed sims 4 on steam and linked it wirh my ea account.. Everything was working perfectly. Until last friday.. I ve got a new dlc on steam.. And when i tried to open the game.. Origin said it is an unidentified game and they need the key witch i dosnt have from steam.. The ea support said there is no linking between origin and steam.. And they game isnt in the origin library anymore.. Do u have any solutions for that problem? Plaese.. I am realy frustrated

so yeah not quite my problem, but here it is. bought battle field 1, downloaded 60 gbs on steam, hit play. it opens origin takes me to the window of battle field 1. the play button is greyed out and says its not installed. except it is. ON STEAM. now i cant play. nothing fixes. any quick ideas?
