Do you remember the show "The Joy of Painting" on PBS? If you do, you certainly will remember its host and creator, Bob Ross. His easy smile and affable demeanor made it seem that painting was a joy all of us should partake in. The instructional television program ran from 1983 to 1994 and made Ross a popular television personality not only in America, but also in Latin America, Europe, and Canada. Ross sadly died due to complications from lymphoma on July, 4th 1995. In honor of Bob Ross, we’ve created a video about the untold truth of this popular tv host. Bob actually didn’t want to be paid. He said “Getting paid for my show I think would distract people from what I want my show to be about. Showing people how to force the magic as painting out of your paint bristles.”
