Hard to believe ADT and its side effects haven’t been improved upon in 30+ years.

Part of the problem is that it does work to fight PC (in many cases extremely well and for a very long time) and QOL is not a high concern for the medical community.

Why not try to find something less invasive? All the side effects from all treatment options SUCKS!!! Would these doctors what all these side effects? It’s time to start thinking about patients.

Had prosectimy..3 months check psa is 3.5...going for radiation...but reluctant to hormone therapy..I'm a healthy 60 years old..don't need any extra issues....so is it wise ?

Finishing radiation treatment soon. How do I know the result other than watching PSA? Petscan or mri ? Will they show what we need to know?

I have had 1 firmagon, 2 Lupron, 39 radiation treatments also had a THULUP surgery. Beginning figures were 18+ PSA, Gleason 9, grade 5, cancer did not spread. Am I getting better?

Next Lupron on the 21st. Latest PSA 3 months ago 095. That was before my 2nd Lupron shot.

I was diagnosed October 2018

Stage 4

Full body scan: Metastatic 13 bones

Into 6 month ADT monthly shot

Haven’t decided on chemo therapy

Tried two vitamin c Iv treatments (50 grams) in last 6 weeks

Also far infrared sauna weekly for last 3 months

Pain management is a challenge

I’m a bit depressed but trying to stay positive
