Hey Chad! I really love your dovetail-series so much, that I've just started my on first dovetail-experiment :-) I'll build a small shelf for my kitchen without using any screw or nail ... it's completely new to me since I've never done that before! I'm a bit excited and if you like, I'll keep you informed about the progress.
Thanks for all your phantastic video tutorials!
And I send a big hug from northern Germany
... remember the four-liter-night back in 1998 ...

Another very helpful and informative video. I have to admit that in my many years of woodworking I still haven’t cut dovetails by hand because I really haven’t needed them. It’s something that I will need once I get back to a table I started before I began my shop rearrangement project and making some shop furniture. I’ll probable practice dovetails on some of the drawers I’m making fir shop cabinets. Thanks for your videos. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Great explanation.
Thanks for reinforcing the idea that the spacing and angles on dovetails is more asthetic than structural.
You might explain how you decide how many pins you use and how you decide on the pin size relative to the tail size.

I saw once on youtube,
a method to cut finger joint with a hand saw.
whether it was Paul Sellers Q&A or Frank Klausz...
I do not much remember, and I really looking for that video.
is anybody know the video I'm talking about?

After 20 years you still have problems cutting DT's ???? I find that surprising. Just today I have got myself an Apprentice so I had better go back and watch a few more of your videos so that I can sound like I know what I'm talking about.
