You should do a video on which books you didn’t like and why you didn’t like them. It would be very interesting to see.

I preferred "Far From the Madding Crowd" by Thomas Hardy.

Hi Lil, I always find so many unique books from your videos. BTW, my first gift from a guy in 1963 was a necklace that looked almost exactly like the one you are wearing. It brought back nice memories and you look ravishing in it. Much Aloha

People from other countries can order books for you at Amazon.co.uk. I do this for my family in the UK (I live in Canada 🇨🇦). The prices are in British pounds, so people need to keep in mind the exchange rate from pounds to their country's currency. I hope this helps 😊 I really enjoy your videos! Happy reading 📚

I have Bridget Jones on my reread list for this year. I’m glad to hear it holds up on the reread despite the outdated bits.

As if Bridget Jones is now a “contemporary classic”, that makes me feel old! I read it when I was about 16 and wasn’t a big fan (I preferred the film too) but that edition is gorgeous.

My sister recommended your channel to me and I’m so glad because I enjoy many of your recommendations! I had never heard of D. E. Stevenson before watching your channel and now I think she’s becoming one of my favorite writers.

I have just started to read books by Elizabeth Von Arnim and I loved them! I want to read Vera as well! I like Tess and now I want to read “Far from the madding crowd”. This year I seem to want to read more classics.

I’m slightly bias because I love Hardy but I think Far From the Madding Crowd would be a good place to go next if you want to read more Hardy.

I have just finished reading The Enchanted April and loved it and look forward to reading more of Elizabeth Von Arnim's books. I have both Tess of the D'Ubervilles and Far From the Maddening Crowd on my TBR list; I have never read any Thomas Hardy books. I love the sound of Mrs. Tim and the Regiment and have put it on my TBR list. Thank you for sharing. :)

You can do Dickens! I never liked Dickens when I was younger, but I like him so much. more now. And yes, continue with Hardy. Far From the Madding Crowd or the Mayor of Casterbridge. Just don't read Jude the Obscure unless you really want to go into an emotional downward spiral.

You MUST read "The Woman in white"! I think you would like it!

I don’t think you would like Jude The Obscure by Hardy but think you would really enjoy The Mayor of Casterbridge
