I read Call Us What We Carry as my first book of the year and it was really good. I do prefer my poetry more 100-150 pages as it takes me time to process and sit with it. But I especially liked the way she used historical documents in it. Love In Colour is probably my most anticipated book of the month. I love myths and retellings and love that it has a wide range of inspiration. I haven't read Journey to the West but Overly Sarcastic Productions has videos breaking up chapters or arcs. I find listening to summaries and discussions can really help me with classics. ❤
