#10 Is my foot blister a burn blister?

Are the blisters you get on your feet when you run or walk a lot, or wear new shoes, are they a burn blister? Well, no... Not even if it’s really hot!

Hey, it's Rebecca here with this week's 60 second blister tip, and today it's about the question of are blisters a thermal burn.

Well, it's true that some burns can cause a blister, and in fact they're called second degree burns.

Now second degree burns happen to a level of the skin a bit deeper than friction blisters. So a friction blister has nothing to do with the skin overheating and burning causing a second degree burn. So it's not about heat as much as you might think.
