I popped a blister on my foot once and it was the tiniest blister but immediate PAIN it hurt so bad😭

What to do with a blister in your feet if it hurts (if not leave it alone)
1. Clean the foot
2. Desinfect the neddle/knive or use sterile ones
3.1 Blister on the sole of the foot: cut it open the closer to the fingers the better
3.2 Blister on top of the foot: cut it open the further from the toes the better
3.3 Blister on the heel... it is gona chaff either way, so however easier for you, I recomend cutting on a lateral
4. Apply some kind of antiseptic liquid, better be clorhexidine
5. Bandage it... and for the love of good avoid any plastic or silicone crap.
6. When dry and healed, cut the lose/dry/flappy skin as close to the good skin as possible, do not pick You will make an open lesion!!

I’ve done something like that before and the exposed area stung. Almost like I shouldn’t have peeled off the blister…

I had a blister on the bottom of my foot so it would've popped anyways when I walked or it hit something so my dad popped it.
How to pop a blister that needs to be popped without getting infected:
1. Sterilize a knife with lighter (use switchblade NOT a kitchen knife)
2. Make sure foot is clean, if not, clean it
3. LIGHTLY poke blister with very tip of knife (barely touch it)
4. Blister should pop immediately. If it doesn't, leave it.
5. If it popped, clean area and bandage.


Edit: I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. I am studying for my CNA and I know some things, but I learned this from my dad. My dad took a first aid class.
