It will be one of your favorite bread for breakfast! INGREDIENTS
500g (4 cups) all-purpose flour;
50g (4 tbsp) sugar;
1 tsp salt;
200ml (⅔ cup) warm water;
25g (3 tbsp) fresh yeast;
25g (¼ cup) powdered milk;
2 eggs;
60g (¼ cup) butter;
100 g (⅔ cup) dark chocolate chips.
METHOD
Whisk flour with salt.
In a separate bowl whisk warm water with powdered milk and sugar. Add crumbled fresh yeast and set aside for 10 minutes. Whisk in 2 eggs.
Pour liquids into the dry mixture, knead the dough until it comes together, then add butter and chocolate chips and knead for 7-10 minutes.
Set the dough aside for 1 hour.
Cut the dough into 4 pieces, roll each into a log and place on a parchment-covered baking sheet. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
Make slits on top of each baguette using a sharp knife.
Brush with egg wash and bake 180C/350F for 25 minutes.
