"This is incredible" - and it's live, no auto-tune, no lip-syncing, no gyrating dancers, a real band playing together - passionately. Real musicians!

Steve Perry was just named the best singer of all time by billboard
His fans came out by droves and he won by over 67% of the votes
We all know he’s a great singer because we can hear his songs
But to think of this man, his beautiful lyrics he has wrote the beautiful music he has composed, but most importantly, he is, and always will be
THE VOICE 💙🎤🎶

They certainly had their day.
I don't think Steve Perry ever realized how iconic he was.
It was a moment in time.

While he walked away from music he discovered an awesome love affair he cherished right till the very sad end with her passing. He chose love over career. All due respect.

Perry could generate so much emotion in his vocals. Add the lyrics to the mix and he could bring onions to tears.

Perry's voice is a fine-tuned instrument, that can go from drifting like a feather, to striking down like a hammer.

Man, they just don't make music like this anymore. No autotune, no theatrics, just amazing music. I remember having a Journey poster on my wall as a young girl. ❤❤❤

I'm a trained musician myself and am in awe of Steve. His voice is beautiful but the technique and control he exhibits in every performance really set him apart.

This is Journey at their absolute best! I just never felt the same way about them with out Steve. It was a perfect ensemble of characters that will not be matched.

I love how Steve Perry’s first note causes Beth to lose her train of thought and bliss out. You are teenage me hearing this on the turntable for the first time.

I saw Steve live in 1983 in Philadelphia as he closed up his Frontiers tour. I was 19 years old. Still today, at 59, I can still feel what I've always felt listening to Steve. On that day in the summer of 1983, his voice was amplified out into the universe and sounded soooo awesome! No words to describe the emotions and the reality of the mix of Steve Perry live when we were young. ❤️🙌

That note bending comes from Sam Cooke. Steve listened to Sam’s “Cupid” and was a total goner for him. They also share a birthday! ❤❤❤

Steve Perry's voice is clear and iconic. His sound is just legendary. He's like a male version of Karen Carpenter's voice to me.

I always get emotional when I see great performances. These guys were all at the top of their game. Just fantastic musicians and singers.

Great Reaction Beth! Fun fact: Journey's original lead singer was their keyboard player Gregg Rollie. Steve Perry joined Journey on their Infinity album. On several of their songs, both of them sing lead parts. What a great band.
