Moral of the various stories: don’t flash any wealth, don’t get into selling drugs, don’t open the door until you confirm who is on the other side.

Story 3, jeez dude, i know he was a teen, but appreciate your grandparents

Dude in story 3 sounded spoiled beyond belief. Your whole family got traumatized and all you cared about was a bike. And then brushed off his grandparents

After hearing all the nice boxes out on story 3, I was like, oh yeah. Don't leave nice boxes out on the curb. Really unfortunate but it's a messed up world we live in.

Congratulations on your sobriety to the person in story 2. I’m also in recovery

Story 7 made me feel old. Talking about grandparents, great aunt and uncles and "she had to walk all the way to the kitchen to use the phone" made me think this was in the 50s or 60s... it was the 80s.. man.. im old 😂

Hey congratulations on being sober for OP in story 2! The mountain bike story made me feel for the OP.
My family didn’t have money like that but we weren’t “poor.” My mom, sister and dad were all well liked and/or popular in high school, I was the loser trouble maker and they still don’t understand me. I’m glad the bike aspect came back into play later though, that made me smile! Story 4, I love everything but the invasion part. I love that you being younger made friends with your community. Especially love that it’s older people. I love elderly people and I think we can all learn a lot of from hanging out with them. I’m sorry to hear that some of you’re friends have since passed on but you’ll see them again. Keep being a good and caring person because the world needs more people who care about things other than themselves. I hope everyone reading this has the best day of their life so far 💓 things don’t stay bad forever, it’ll all work out.

Greetings all! Thank you, Joel, for all you do. Story two sounds so similar to my son. Life kicks us in the butt sometimes, most often by our own choices. But thank goodness, with self-determination, hard work and support, things work themselves out. Ya'll please take care out there and stay safe. ❤😊

On the first story, I thought for a second he was going to say take his girlfriend instead of the car. LoL.

3:31 The heater and pump just kicked in just as that sentence started. . It made it even weirder hearing that lol 😂

Story 3 is why I always break up boxes before stuffing them in the recycling bin.

I thought that was common sense: don’t put ur boxes on the curb. Although we lived down a dirt road that collectively held everyone’s garbage, somewhat offering a sense of anonymity, my parents always ensured any remnants of our Christmas purchases were effectively concealed. I think having 4 daughters played a significant role in this in a few ways.

Story #1: you can have all the money in the world, all the fancy cars and jewelery...just make sure you also have the best security system, guns and training money can buy.

Oh, and common sense not to open the door to strangers, especially at night!
