I was born in 1953, growing up during those times are unforgettable and I wish all kids of today could experience those such wholesome times.

And on May 28, 1954 my Dad graduated from Waynesburg High School 🎓 He wasn't head of the class but he was the coolest 🙂

Even though I was born in 1992, I enjoy seeing years in review. And I love history.

A lot happened in 1954!
In addition to all the culturally historical stuff, my parents got married and started a family.

DiMaggio and Monroe went to Japan for their honeymoon but cut it short because Marilyn agreed to appear with other entertainers in nearby Korea to encourage American troops fighting a war there. The men gave Monroe an enthusiastic response. Back in Japan, Monroe gushed about her trip "you can't imagine what it's like to be worshiped by thousands and thousands of MEN!" The baseball superstar replied dryly, "I think I can".

Christmas was magical back in those days. People actually cared about their neighbors.

I was born on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6, '54. Six years later, Labor Day (a federal holiday) fell on Monday, Sept. 5, 1960, meaning my first day in first grade was the next day, on my birthday. Fate has a cruel sense of humor!

OMG! This was the year that my parents met!! ♥️ So sad, my dad passed away in 2007 and my mother is 90 years old...

I think there is a lot of iconic imagery associated with America in the 50s and 60s. That was probably the greatest era.

I enjoyed this review of 1954. So many firsts!
However, the last one you said was the first Burger King opened in Miami, FL toward the end of the year. This contradicts the Burger King video from two days ago when you said the first Burger King opened in Jacksonville, FL in 1953.
