Are Pill Bugs Bad for Gardens / Perhaps not

Are pill bugs bad for the garden or are pill bugs good for the garden? This video explains why pill bugs (otherwise know as roly polys, woodlice, and other fun names) can be a friend or foe in your garden. Pill bugs are very beneficial in several ways but they are capable of eating your plants and fruits if the situation is right. Very interesting, I never new this much. I have found them on our concrete porch. Always under a pot that has been watered.

I WISH they wouldn’t eat my strawberries though 🙄☺️
I love how they chew thru my compost …
I have learned to live happily WITH them …( except for my strawberries ) …which THIS YEAR I am trying something ..I have cut up onions and placed them around the top of my “potted” strawberries.. and SO FAR I feel like it’s a success …at least many of the strawberries are managing to make it thru their journey and become RIPE …
PAST 2 years they were eaten when still white 🤦‍♀️😅🇨🇦
