A few things killing CB Radio

I have installed a CB radio in every vehicle I have ever owned. I will never have a vehicle without a CB in it, even if it's just a little Cobra 19, which is my current setup in my Ram. I had a different Cobra 19 in my 2014 Malibu when a guy had stopped in the roadaround a blind curve and put his car in park, in very heavy fog, at night, and his car was black and because I could not tell that he was stopped since his foot was off the brake with his car in park, I did wind up rear-ending him, and that little CB literally saved my life because I was able to warn Truckers before they got to the Curve one actually did come within a car length and a half of hitting me before he was able to stop, but a CB is extremely useful, and they do need to make a huge comeback along with a lot of common sense

Last 5yrs of my trucking career I never even turned my on . When I started trucking 50yrs ago it was a very good tool and it was nearly impossible to do certain things without it, but as the world went and got more insane, crooked, and down right stupid I left it off .

I'm a container hauler in Cincinnati. We use CBs to talk to the cranes at the rails.
My cb is always on. I wish all my companies trucks would have them turned on outside the rail. Accident reports traffic snarls. Just to say hi.
It would be 😎 to have a business band.
I ran for a local outfit once that ran business band we knew of traffic snarls and speed traps before the news people did. Really had better comradely back in the day.

'Hard drive the scammer in the desert"

The New Mexico District Attorney is building a case against Hard Drive. If anyone bought a radio and didn't get it, contact the DA. It is estimated that he embezzled over a million dollars in the past few years.

My Dad always had a CB in his vehicles.
His second Wife’s CB handle was “MoonBaby”.
She had a very sexy voice and would flirt with the truckers while my Dad would get Laughs out of it.
Most of the truckers played along nicely and was definitely a fun way to stay awake.
I can remember riding in the back seat laughing so hard at the antics.

Back in the day we used to play a game on the radio called fishing for truckers, we would get truckers so mad they’d be driving all over Fairfield trying to rabbit hunt us. With a high enough vantage point and variable power we would lead them wherever we wanted. When you’re standing on a heater with a modded d104 you were pegging their meter all over town and the modulation would be off the charts. I got on to my son for trolling people on the internet and realized I did the same crap but on a cb

They can be found. When I was in high school it was a big thing to basically play hide and go seek with our CB’s. Back then we had the old swing needles that showed signal strength. I had a 23 channel Midland that worked great for tracking down people. I’d hear people on the interstate talking smack and would get right behind them and tell everyone their tag number and what they was driving. Man those were great

Racial Slurs are awesome and still protected speech except for YouTube. Italians called the Irish 'Soupbone' and we called them "Guineas" back. These slurs help us to ease the tensions of living in a multi-cultural world and trying to get along. Freedom of Speech.

Man you are so right not everyone should have a social media account either.
I’ll stick with my high powered CB though. 90% of drivers don’t have them anyways and it has nothing to do with the reasons you mentioned so those of us that actually use them should spend the money on them.

I hate that dude! He talks about how others are jealous of his radio.

You can't hear any important information when he is interrupting everyone

That skip you’re talkin about is soooo annoying.. that’s when I turn my radio off. Seriously it’s no wonder nobody has them anymore. Between those guys with the linear radios and the ass hats that play music thru their mics like we need to hear that.

When I was a little kid in the 70s, I had a high power hand held. I thought I would play dj.😂
I put a rubber band on the button and played my favorite music. When I took it off, I never heard so many angry truckers😂😅😂😅
