Yes if you're in your 20s go all in on the s&p500....people will tell you to be diversified but it doesn't get more diversified than 500 different companies ...you got time on your side to ride out the ups and downs

Should you invest all your money into the S&P 500?

"We can't answer that."

Start with the end in mind. Go all market index (VTSAX) 100 percent. Then 5-7 years prior to you first withdrawal adjust the allocation to incorporate bonds to reduce the volatility. 50% indexed and 50% bonds. If the market tanks by double digits (within the 5-7 years) use 10% of your bonds to buy more indexed stock. Now your 60% stock and 40% bonds. Good to go.

As a commenter on YouTube, all in on S&P500 is better than all in on any other stock type

I hold about 12 different funds and I know some of them overlap but I feel better knowing if one fund is lacking in returns the others will help to average it out.

If you're plan is to not bloody touch it *and* you're need for the money is 10 years or more out then yes. If not then no.

I'm a simple man. I see Batman themed stuff (and Robin) and I click "like". A combo of one my favorite characters and my favorite financial literacy channel!

Oh! Never all in 100% on anything. 80% on S&P 500 index and 20% on Bonds/REITS index or ETFs.

my portfolio is 80% s&p500 and 20% palantir. I'm willing to take the risk

Put 100% in TECL or at least SPXL. Don't be a wimp if you have time. If you believe you can't break 10% a year then you are right. When you buy these ETFs then you already have some diversification.

Start small but dream BIG! You have time. Be consistent. Don't be a sheep. Be weird.

You can make your own target date fund and save at least 1% in fees.
My wife and I just retired and, until the last 3-4 years, invested 100% into the S&P. We currently have 1.9 million in our 401ks and are now 50/50.
If I had to do it over again, i might be a bit more diversified, like a total stockmarket index. Either way, stay the course, and if there's a bear market, don't open you statements
