I'm glad you mention at the end that "from a security point of view", switching it off is a great idea. So, being the security-conscious/paranoid person that I am, I'll keep them switched off till I need them. 🙏😊

"Turn off when no use". I always do that with all devices. WiFi, bluetooth, lights, fans...

Either way, you don't want the Bluetooth & WiFi always on. You know why !! 😁

TURN THEM OFF FOR SECURITY REASONS. BUT REMEMBER…unlike Android, on iPhone you can’t dive into settings and turn off WiFi and BT scanning.

I have a iphone 12 pro max and if I forget to turn off bluetooth overnight my battery level is significantly lower the next morning. If it's off, battery only loses a few percentage points. So, I have to disagree on the bluetooth bit, at least in my real experience.

Leaving either wifi or bluetooth ON leaves you open to more security risks than Ever
Both wireless tools are constantly used as subnets for relays and communications exchange.
So I would have to DISAGREE and Turn Off, even to save a miniscule portion of battery life....

I respect you. But I don’t agree with this video.
I have an RF meter. If you value your health, stop your Bluetooth and wifi if you are not using them ;)
The radiation is not worth it. That’s why i don’t use Bluetooth watches…

Thank you. Been telling friends this for years and they don't believe me.

Thanks for the video. They are always informative. However, over the years whenever my phone BT is on the battery run down quicker than when I switch it off. Even when it's a fresh out of the box brand new phone...and I'm certain there are lots and lots folks out there that share my experience. But thanks for the tip anyway...I you always make great video.

In Italy the mobile connection is usually great, and very fast. Mobile plans are very cheap and come with hundreds of GB, sometimes unlimited, all under 10 Euros. So using WIFI is not really necessary and comes with safety problems. Better to stay with mobile data in you're not at home.

Turning off Wi-Fi saves me ~1-2 days worth of battery. Bluetooth... pff... never used it.

What I found a real drain is using GPS position.
What I did not not yet understood is if leaving the Geo localization option on, without actively using the GPS, impact the battery.
(but also here there might be privacy reasons to prefer to have it off)

BT should be off unless you need it. You don’t need another trackable network connection. Same with WiFi. Keep it off if you don’t need it.

It’s better to have your phone in LTE mode instead of 5G which needs more power too.

What about wifi calling. Does it drain more battery while compared to cellular network.
